Elevated acoustics and confident design mark a new era for the Canadian audio brand
Kanto Audio will preview the next generation of its core speaker lineup at HIGH END Vienna, taking place June 4th–7th at the Austria Center Vienna. Headlining the showcase is the introduction of Tuk Grand, alongside redesigned versions of Tuk, Yu6, and Yu4, plus their passive counterparts — marking a significant evolution in acoustic performance, engineering, and industrial design across the lineup.
Since launching the Yu series in 2014, Kanto has focused on making high-quality audio more accessible. This next generation marks a more deliberate step into hi-fi — refining the elements that shape how a speaker sounds and lives within a space: driver performance, cabinet design, and versatile connectivity take precedence.
Tuk Grand
Tuk Grand is Kanto’s most ambitious speaker to date.
Built on the foundation of Tuk, it features a revamped cabinet design, increased internal volume, and re-engineered drivers. Together, these changes deliver greater scale, deeper extension, and a more natural, balanced presentation.
Tuk Grand also signals a shift in Kanto’s approach to industrial design. Earlier products were designed to recede into a space; Tuk Grand is designed to belong within it. Sharper geometry, cleaner lines, and more confident proportions give the speaker a stronger presence while maintaining the restraint necessary to remain timeless.
Rather than chasing feature lists, Tuk Grand focuses on the fundamentals of listening: acoustic performance, usability, and meaningful connectivity. Core inputs remain intentionally streamlined, while USB-C powered output and passive configurations provide flexibility for listeners building more customized systems.
Tuk 2nd Generation
Tuk evolves toward a more refined acoustic and architectural expression.
Revoiced with a newly developed DSP profile, Tuk delivers a more natural and balanced presentation. A larger cabinet form, shaped by its signature combing waveguide geometry and wider AMT tweeter dispersion, improves high-frequency smoothness, detail, and consistency across a broader range of listening environments.
Its design moves toward a more confident identity — defined by precision surfaces, controlled geometry, and purposeful visual contrast. Every element is carefully considered to reduce acoustic interference while giving Tuk a more enduring presence within an interior.
Connectivity remains intentionally focused, supporting Bluetooth® 5.4 with aptX HD, USB-C, RCA, and optical inputs.
Yu6 and Yu4: Next Generation Foundations
The next generation Yu6 and Yu4 build on the qualities that made their predecessors so widely adopted, while introducing meaningful refinements throughout.
Updated drivers, a redesigned amplifier platform with 30% greater RMS output, and the addition of DSP tuning deliver greater clarity, deeper low-frequency performance, and a more balanced presentation overall.
Connectivity has also been modernized across the powered models, with Bluetooth® 5.3, USB-C, RCA with selectable phono preamp, AUX, optical, and subwoofer output integrated as standard. Passive versions continue to offer flexibility for listeners building systems around external amplification.
The visual design remains familiar, but subtle refinements bring greater cohesion across the lineup and more closely reflect Kanto’s evolving design language. Further details on the next generation of Kanto’s core lineup will be shared in the coming months, including a compact desktop model and compatible turntable in matching finishes.
Design and Performance, Aligned
Across the lineup, Kanto brings design and engineering into closer alignment — allowing acoustic performance and physical form to evolve together as a cohesive experience.
Cabinet geometry and acoustic detailing have been carefully refined to improve low-end extension and maintain stable stereo imaging — even when listening off-axis. Each second-generation model delivers a more natural, balanced, and room-filling presentation than its predecessor.
The visual language evolves alongside the acoustics, resulting in speakers designed not simply to blend into a room, but to feel intentional within it — balancing restraint, character, and long-term appeal.
“We designed this new generation with a deliberate mindset,” says Kanto Creative Director Kevin Reid. “Every decision — acoustic, visual, or functional — was made to deepen the experience of everyday listening. Our goal is to make hi-fi more approachable and more meaningful: delivering products that not only sound exceptional on day one, but continue to bring a sense of connection and enjoyment for years to come.”
